The Birth of Èrainn
Sir Rorik Harsson
Dwarven Knight of the Teutonic Order
Sir Rorik Harsson is a Dwarven nobleman of Karahkal, with family ties to Ariak Skov. The scion and heir of the goldsmithing Harsson clan, Sir Rorik left his homeland and entered into the service of the Teutonic Order, much to the embarrassment and anger of his family. Sir Rorik was knighted into the Teutonic Order at the Battle of the Daugava (1388) for defending the Order’s Grand Master after he had been sorely wounded by the Grand Duke’s Fire Riders. Sir Rorik is now famous as a cavalier, riding into battle on a snow-white mountain ram that he acquired from dwarves in the Carpathian Range. He eschews the use of a lance for a great, beaked war hammer. He is known for breaking the legs of enemy riders before pulling them out of the saddle to capture or to finish them. Rorik is the close friend and constant companion of Sir Diarmait FitzGerald.
