The Birth of Èrainn
The Followers of Oshono
This group was initially believed to be one of the Tribes of the Blood. All of Oshono’s followers seem to hail from the tribes, and to be half-elven as well. After further contact with the Tribes, we have learned that the followers of Oshono are a cult. Oshono seems to be some sort of dark, arboreal deity, definitely female, that the Tribes of the Blood consider to be evil. The Peoples of the Blood call her “Oshonomendo,” which means “Oshono the demon” in their dialects. They also refer to her as “she who hungers,” and tell tales of captives from the tribe being fed to the mysterious goddess.
The followers of the cult wear black and fletch their arrows with feathers dyed lurid green. The cult seems to be led by priestesses. The symbol of the cult is the serpent: tattooed on warriors’ arms; repeated in the regalia of leaders and priestesses. Members of the cult are attacked on sight by the Tribes of the Blood.
